Welcome to the Weill Cornell Vein Treatment Center

Dr. MinWeill Cornell Vein Treatment Center is a center dedicated to the diagnosis and minimally invasive treatment of varicose and spider veins and related venous disorders, as well as offering state of the art minimally invasive therapy for uterine fibroids.

Founded in 1998, Weill Cornell Vein Treatment Center has consistently been recognized as one of the leading vein care centers in the world. Our physicians, Dr. Neil M. Khilnani, Dr. Lisa Amatangelo, Dr. Kimberly Scherer, Dr. Marc Schiffman and Dr. Ronald Winokur, are all full time faculty members at Weill Cornell Medicine, are American Board of Medical Specialists (ABMS) board certified in Diagnostic Radiology and have completed advanced fellowship training in Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology. They are on the medical staff of the New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center Campus, which is consistently rated the best hospital in New York City and in the top ten in the United States by the US News & World Report.

Consultations and treatments for varicose and spider veins are performed at our outpatient office: Weill Cornell Vein Treatment Center, located at 2315 Broadway (at 84th Street). We are proud of our specially designed rooms which are comfortable, bright and airy.

At the Weill Cornell Vein Treatment Center, your care is completely managed by your physician. In many other practices in our region, patient consultations and medical and surgical procedures are performed by nurse practitioners and physician assistants, sclerotherapy by nurses, and diagnostic ultrasounds by technologists. At the Weill Cornell Vein Treatment Center, your physician will be personally attending to each of these steps; they are committed to providing you with personalized care. We are known for outstanding clinical results and patient satisfaction, as well as being leaders in research, education and patient advocacy at the national level.

State of the art diagnostic and treatment procedures are utilized in the appropriate combinations to get the best results while minimizing side effects and down time. Endovenous Laser Ablation (also known as EVLT or ELA) was developed by Dr. Min at Weill Cornell Vein Treatment Center and has become the most commonly used approach in treating patients with varicose veins internationally. As a result, the physicians at the Weill Cornell Vein Treatment Center have the longest experience using this technique in the world. As leaders in the field of vein care, we are among the first centers to use novel technologies for non-thermal (“no heat”) closure of varicose veins. These include Venaseal™, Varithena™, and Clarivein™.

Highly specialized care for patients with deep vein conditions including May Thurner Syndrome, blockages after prior deep vein thrombosis in the abdomen, pelvis and lower extremities, pelvic venous congestion and venous malformations are also part of our comprehensive vein care practice.

The physicians at the Weill Cornell Vein Treatment Center's Minimally Invasive Fibroid Treatment Practice have extensive experience using minimally invasive treatments to help patients with uterine fibroids. We utilize the most advanced diagnostic equipment and our staff has expertise in the most current methods available for the treatment of fibroids, including Uterine Fibroid Embolization and MR guided Focused Ultrasound Ablation. Recognizing that each individual’s needs are different and each case is unique, our physicians will determine the best treatment plan for you.

Where you go first for your care has a significant impact on the outcome of your condition. Weill Cornell Vein Treatment Center has a long history of success and is dedicated to making sure that you get the correct diagnosis and the safest and most effective minimally invasive treatments available.

Our goal is to make your experience as pleasant and successful as possible.

Sincerely,

Robert J. Min, MD, MBA
